La Dorade

This is a great choice to stay if you're on a budget and is a 20 minute walk from beautiful Trou-aux-Biches beach. There are also nice places to eat nearby and buses going to and from Port Louis (no 20, 31 rupees, one hour journey). The place could be a bit cleaner and needs a few things fixed, but you get a large double room with an en suite bathroom for £18 and the owner Krishna is friendly and helpful. You also get a key for your room so common sense dictates locking it and closing any windows when you go out. 7/10

this place is awesome, cheap, quiet and clean. good if you have own transportation, although the bus station is accross the road. cool owner as well.
