Also known as the Wat Chalong this temple or temples is another big tourist destination. The entry is free and so is the parking. If you plan to visit in the summer then definitely being an umbrella and water. The place is huge with lots of places to sit in the shade. There are several temples here with striking architecture and a new was being built when we visited. A very interesting thing is you can make a wish and purchase fireworks then burn it for fulfillment.

It was such an amazing experience. I was in so much awe to see The Big Buddha in person. I love how there are posters with informative descriptions about the statue and about Buddhism in Thailand. It wasn’t super crowded when I got there, and they have very helpful staff around. The view from the top is immaculate! On a good day you can see the beach and town.
