Our chosen bungalow right by the sea was the decisive factor in the decision to book with Island Spa Resort. Unfortunately, the problems began two days before our arrival, when the host only responded sporadically to our requests and both the check-in and the transfer from the pier to the accommodation were not clarified. The waiting time at the pier ended up being over an hour. When we arrived at the accommodation we were informed that there had been a double booking and that the bungalow by the sea we had booked was not available. The hostess was not present for us and we were directed to Seashell Resort for an alternative room. The staff at Seashell Resort was extremely helpful/friendly, went out of their way to find us a great room and ensure we had a great stay. We got an upgrade and free breakfast and had a great Christmas and a great time on Ko Tao. In summary, we can fully recommend a stay at the Seashell Resort. However, we advise against booking at the Island Spa Resort. Mistakes can happen, including double bookings, but dealing with the situation - lack of communication, the hostess not showing up on site - was impossible and cost us a lot of nerves. Leider begannen die Probleme bereits zwei Tage vor unserer Ankunft, als die Gastgeberin nur sporadisch auf unsere Anfragen reagierte und sowohl der Check-In als auch der Transfer vom Pier zur Unterkunft nicht geklärt waren. Die Wartezeit am Pier betrug schlussendlich über eine Stunde. Als wir dann an der Unterkunft ankamen wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass es zu einer Doppelbuchung gekommen und der gebuchte Bungalow am Meer nicht verfügbar sei. Die Gastgeberin war nicht präsent für uns, und wir wurden zum Seashell Resort verwiesen, um dort ein alternatives Zimmer zu beziehen. Das Personal im Seashell Resort war äußerst hilfsbereit/freundlich, sehr bemüht uns ein tolles Zimmer zu suchen und uns einen tollen Aufenthalt zu ermöglichen. Wir bekamen ein Upgreat und kostenloses Frühstück und hatten tolle Weihnachten und eine schöne Zeit auf Ko Tao. Zusammengefasst können wir einen Aufenthalt im Seashell Resort uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Hingegen raten wir von einer Buchung im Island Spa Resort ab. Fehler können passieren, auch Doppelbuchungen, aber der Umgang mit der Situation – fehlende Kommunikation, das Nichterscheinen der Gastgeberin vor Ort – war unmöglich und hat uns einiger Nerven gekostet.
