Solia Legian Bali Hotel

I've stayed at Solia Legian twice now. This hotel was great value for money. Whilst the rooms were fairly basic, the bed was comfy and the rest of the amenities and price made it such good value. Located just up the road from the really cool, relaxing Legian beach, with plenty of great bars and restaurants in the surrounding area, it is perfectly located. With outside pools both on the ground floor and on the roof, there was always a sunlounger on one of them. The rooftop lounge had all day sun and had a bar next to one end of the pool for those who wanted a drink whilst cooling down. The gym is small with very limited equipment. The price is what makes this place.

I stayed here for six nights and was overall very happy with the hotel. It’s well located, about 10 minutes walking from Legian beach and with many shops and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful and nice. From the receptionists, to the bartenders, to the cleaners, everyone always greeted me with a smile and they answered all my questions and inquiries perfectly, so big thanks to the excellent hotel team 🙏 The rooms are nice and relatively spacious, with a modern feel to them but slightly on the sterile side (i.e., not much character or individuality and also barely any references to local culture). The pool area is quiet and relaxing and the pool has the right temperature. The food I had in the restaurant was tasty and the breakfast was decent too, although better with the local/Asian options and sweet options (e.g., the banana bread is great) than Western and savory ones. And after a few days, the breakfast was a bit samey and didn’t get me excited anymore. The overall price was fair and competitive for the quality of the hotel. The only thing I found slightly weird is the party branding and concept the hotel has, while it was mostly quiet and more like a family- and couples-hotel than a party hotel. So there is a bit of an incongruence between the branding and the actual experience but I didn’t mind myself. For someone looking for a party hotel, it’s probably not the right place though.

A property that is located in the shopping area of Legian with plenty of places to eat. Fabulous staff who are extremely helpful and friendly. Room very comfortable with aircon, small fridge & tea & coffee making. Approximately a 6 - 8 minute walk to beach which is perfect to watch the sunsets. The rooftop bar is a good spot for happy hour cocktails with a large jacuzzi. As the hotel is situated on the main road very noisy & ear plugs required to sleep at night. Also limited lounges around main pool area & lots of constant traffic noise & loud music playing until around 6 pm which I suspect is to help cover the traffic noise. Breakfast good but limited choices with no variation.
